food composition tables are published in the McCance & Widdowson’s The
Composition of Foods series.There are
currently nine supplements on specific food groups, a supplement on fatty
acids, and a summary 6th edition.The
6th summary edition (1) is the latest publication and provides updated
information on the nutritional content of over 1,200 foods, including levels of
fat, sodium, fibre, and carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.
The electronic versions of the datasets for the
McCance and Widdowson's The Composition of Foods series are available for
purchase from the Office of Public Sector Information. More details are
available at www.opsi.gov.uk.
